Btw, when you say Paterson, is this New Jersey?

Yes it is Paterson, N.J. And I have shared some of these photos on Pinterest. The Paterson Art Walk is in the city’s old abandoned textile mill buildings that date back over a century. It is a unique setting for some of the large art installations.

I bet some of the buildings themselves are worthy of a photo or two. I love the old loft areas in cities and actually have a loft as I am so drawn to them. And what a great place for an exhibition. Have to admit I am a little confused by the dust bunny hanging above the two swinging chairs but can only assume it represents a dark cloud.

You’re right Tim it is a cloud. The whole piece is a little bigger than my photo makes it appear.

Thanks Paul. Not that many people know about the art walk because there’s no marketing. I discovered it a couple years ago because someone I knew was exhibiting. Have tried to make it every year since.

Paterson is not exactly a tourist attraction but that area includes the old industrial buildings, an interesting museum (Paterson Museum) and the Great Falls.

Ken, I really don’t understand the art shown, but do very much like the idea of an Art Walk. I wonder if other communities has similar events. I’m sure the artists who put a lot of work into this appreciate your writing this.
