  2. Lovely pictures of Firenze. It always amazes me how in Italy, they loved their scooters. They are pretty fast and the Italians can drive in between the lines of cars in traffic. Hope you had a great time.

Another great collection of photographs from Italy. I love the one with the cobblestone alleyway. My husband was just bugging me to go to Italy today. Sigh. Someday I’ll get there.

Ken, I love the building with the dome. That is one thing Canada doesn’t have – these really old historical buildings. I have pictures of the City Hall in the town where I was born and it is an amazing building too, but the funny thing – a few years ago it was given to the University and City Hall itself is now a green glass and concrete thing. I guess when you’re used to it, you often fail to see the beauty of it.

These photographs and buildings are stunning. You know how to take a good photograph Ken!

My favourite part of being on holiday are the early evenings. Still warm, sun going down, various birds chirping – love it!

Wonderful photos Ken. The driver’s in Italy are truly amazing. The last time I took a taxi there he drove up on the sidewalk to get around traffic like it was no big deal! I think I held my breath for the entire ride. 🙂

  10. I would love to go to Florence! Just didn’t have time to take it in (other than a brief stop at the train station) when we were exploring Tuscany. Would love to go back! Thx for sharing your great photos, Ken.

As shown by today’s Firenze = Florence photos, a big city can be imposing, formal, impersonal, even cold – it’s not all walking alongside throngs of people on a sunny day through a plaza with a fountain.
