I like that you’ve got photos from both sides of the falls. I’ve only visited Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. The Falls are impressive (majestic is a good word), but I found the the town with its amusement-park tourist feel to be tacky.
I had the chance to visit the Canadian side of Niagara last year. I didn’t have any expectations, but I loved that place. I tell everyone that they should visit if they get the chance.
Ah, this is one of my favorite places on the planet, and the “kitscheyness” of the street leading in to the falls is almost as fabulous. It reminds me of the Wildwood boardwalk.

It sure is. The view isn’t as good on the New York side but it has the feel of a national park rather than an amusement park.

Your photographs captured the incredible color of the water, which is what most impresses me each time we visit.

I thought the same thing. Like dropping Atlantic City into a national park.

Nothing beats a pounding cataract! I’d love to see Niagara Falls one of these days.
