Not sure it was a better time Pam. The bigotry and intolerance that we see in our society was even more prevalent then. And we were getting drafted and sent to a war where we had no business being. But it was a better time to buy real estate.

I love this … plus, it has inspired me to pull out all my Velvet Underground records for an afternoon binge. (There was a time when that I thought, “Well, if I can’t be Patti Smith, maybe I can be Mo Tucker instead.” I’ll still hold out for Patti, but Mo was pretty awesome.)
