The first thing you see upon leaving Keflavik Airport after arriving in Iceland is this Rainbow Sculpture. It is the work of Icelandic artist Ruri.

    What an appropriate first image to see upon leaving the airport on your arrival to Iceland. You literally did find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow with all that natural splendor you saw.
